I do a lot of sci fi/fantasy roleplay with my wife, and the ability to make electricity come out of my hands did not disappoint! There's also more sensual potential than I expected; if you keep the machine on low, kissing or light touch can feel really neat but not painful. But you can get quite a bit of intensity out of it, if that's what you want--much more than with the attachments the wand comes with.
The only cons:
- the top also feels sensation at the contact point, so if you keep using your lips or the same fingertip you may run out of stamina before your bottom. I switch it up by holding conductive tools (like a butterknife), which the user doesn't feel.
- there's a bit of a learning curve in that you only get sensation when there's only one contact point between the top and the bottom.
The Neon Wand was not quite as zippy as I was expecting on its own, but the Power Tripper turns that up to 11. It makes any metal implement conductive as well, and I’m very excited to try out a number of things with it.
If you like heavy sensation this is a must.

Let me just repeat that. OH BOY.
I have always thought that the Neon Wand is pretty mild, so its a sensation play toy at best for me versus more of a pain toy, but the power tripper can QUICKLY amp that up. While the neon wand with glass tubes is pretty light sensation, the power tripper changes it into an entirely different level - even the lowest levels of power can create VERY strong charges.
The reason the power tripper is fun is because it makes *you* the electrical implement, with the charge running from you to the recipient. Basic rule of thumb of 'the larger the contact area the less intense the charge' stands, so if you're using your entire hand you can create a strong but diffuse sensation to tease and tingle; and you can let fingers drift to and from skin to ramp intensity up and down. Super fun. Be aware that you're likely to get an electrical shock back yourself from the contact point, but it does seem a bit less intense for the user than the recipient. Or maybe that's subjective.
Of important note though, is this also means you can 'weaponize' metal implements. Things like butter knives will suddenly feel VERY sharp despite their dullness, wartenberg pinwheels become an entirely new level of burst, and claw rings or what not become absolutely delightful to play with. The sky is the limit when it comes to this - but definitely be aware of your positioning!
