A History and How-to for Claiming Your Sexual Autonomy, Personal Boundaries, and Political Freedoms
What does consent mean? Where does this idea come from, and why is it being talked about in a different way now than it was 20 years ago? More importantly, what does it have to do with any of us? How do we make sure we have the informed consent of everyone we interact with for the stuff we do that affects them? How do we make sure other people know what is and isn't okay with us? How do we navigate life in the post-#metoo era with dignity, respect, and confidence? Dr. Faith tackles all these questions and more, drawing on history, sociology, brain science, and her experience as a sex therapist to demystify the concept of consent and help us use it to have awesome lives and support each others' growth.

Love love love this zine. Breaks down some common and specific terminology in easy to understand ways, has some fabulous diagrams and prompts for you to self-reflect on your own experiences and learned behaviours. Highly recommend as a resource to come back to again and again!
I was really happy with the content of this zine, and in particular her discussion of the "wheel of consent" was new to me and thought-provoking. I can definitely see myself bringing this into a discussion with a partner in addition to using it for personal reflection as a single person.
I did notice some proof-reading issues. Generally just stuff like a missing opening quotation mark, making it unclear where the quote starts, and little typos that didn't affect my understanding of the content.
However, in my copy, one of the sets of questions cuts off completely in the middle of a word. (Page 23.) I'm not sure if there were additional questions in that section or not. This affected my experience of reading significantly enough to change my rating from a 5 to a 4.
